About the Team

We are a nationally and internationally recognised four-partner team specialising in all aspects of private client law.  The team includes solicitors, legal executives and support staff at a range of levels.  There is room for progression for the right applicant, and the opportunity to collaborate with other teams in the firm, particularly our litigation team in respect of dispute work.  For the right candidate, a hybrid work arrangement combining in-office and remote work may be available.

We foster a supportive environment and have a heavy focus on training.  You will be encouraged to take ownership of files, while knowing that there are experienced partners and other solicitors around to help when needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in trusts, estates, and relationship property. 
• Ability to supervise junior members of the team.
• Experience dealing with complex private client files.
• Enthusiastic about pursuing a career as a specialist private client lawyer.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and legislation, including the Trusts Act, Family Protection Act, Administration Act, Law Reform (Testamentary Promises) Act, Property (Relationships) Act and related legislation.
• Excellent drafting skills.
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• A proactive approach to client service and business development.
