Background

After gaining his degree in 2019, Ben joined Martelli McKegg’s trusts team, working closely with senior team members and advising on trusts, relationship property, estate planning and property conveyancing. His work has increasingly crossed into the commercial area advising on business structures and he became a member of the commercial team in June 2024.

Detail-oriented and thoughtful, he brings the same level of knowledge and care to every project.

A keen learner, Ben always looks for ways to develop his knowledge further. He completed his New Zealand STEP Diploma while working full-time with top marks.  STEP is a global professional body for trust and estate practitioners. Ben has been recognised by STEP as a 'TEP' owing to his skills and specialist level involvement with inheritance and succession planning.
