Background

Polina Kozlova was halfway through a business degree when she realised that her analytical, results-focused brain was better suited to law. After qualifying in 2016 and being admitted in 2017, she started her career in relationship property, trusts and private clients, and hasn’t looked back.

A key member of the private client and relationship property team since 2022, Polina puts her sharp problem-solving instincts to use, focusing on contentious relationship property issues. She assists clients in all aspects of family succession planning, including complex cross-border trust, estate and relationship property cases. She has been published in the New Zealand Law Journal and regularly in the STEP Journal.

Polina is a passionate advocate for her clients, offering pragmatic advice and helping them reach solutions – even in difficult, emotional cases. As a Russian speaker, she works with overseas clients on New Zealand estate planning, helping them navigate the nuances of the New Zealand legal system.
