Background

After spending his early career in England, and qualifying as a solicitor there in 2009, Tom moved to New Zealand and joined Martelli McKegg in 2017, subsequently being admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. He now works with commercial clients on a broad range of matters, including:

  • Mergers and Acquisitions – advising vendors and purchasers in connection with the sale and purchase of shares and businesses
  • Corporate – company incorporations, company restructures and other company matters; drafting shareholders agreements, joint venture agreements and limited partnership agreements
  • Commercial – drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of contracts including franchise agreements, services agreements, licences, terms and conditions, policies
