Background
Trevor is a commercial partner advising investment and property clients on transactions, financing, development, and joint ventures. He works the way internal teams work: close to the detail, focused on outcomes, and always mindful of cost. He is often instructed when a deal needs senior commercial judgement close to the detail through to execution, particularly where funding or delivery is complex.
He has worked in the London offices of global law firms Freshfields and Gibson Dunn, and as General Counsel and part of the executive team at Kiwi Property and Precinct Properties, two of New Zealand’s largest NZX-listed property companies. That blend of international and in-house experience means he combines sound legal judgement with practical commercial insight, helping clients get from decision to delivery.
Trevor was previously recognised in The Legal 500 GC Powerlist (New Zealand) for leadership of Kiwi Property’s in-house legal team.
He’s from Ngāti Raukawa and Ngāti Huri, and believes good advice is as much about listening as it is about knowing the law.
