Background

Dominique is a senior solicitor in the Trusts and Estates team and joined Martelli McKegg in 2026.

His legal career started in the UK, where he was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2005. He cross-qualified in New Zealand and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2017.

During his career, he has worked in private practice (for firms in both the UK and New Zealand), in-house (as head of private client legal practice for a top tier firm of chartered accountants in the UK) and for a private family office (in New Zealand). He is also the managing director of a property development and management company and the current president and chairperson of Greenwoods Corner Epsom Business Association, giving him valuable insight into the type of advice clients genuinely seek – advice that is commercially aware, purposeful, and easy to act on.

Dominique’s experience practising in the UK also gives him a broader perspective on issues relating to cross-border personal asset planning and succession.

A pragmatic solicitor, Dominique delivers results-focused, well-considered advice aligned with his client’s objectives.
